Miserable bikes in Town (2005)

Miserable Bikes in Town was my Master graduation project at the School of Photography. In 2005 I found abandoned bikes in Gothenburg. I measured the bikes and custom-knitted clothing for them. The works are site-specifik. By knitting for the bikes, I give them a bit of my time, nursing and caring for them. I also want to give passersby a thought and an element of surprise in our dreary everyday. What is common in all my yarn projects in the public domain is that I want to give some of my time. I also want to connect with people who don´t usually go to galleries or museums, and I want to surprise the occasional pedestrian.
